I just posted a pdf of the slides from last nights presentation I did at the Boston MySQL Users Group. And a special thanks to Colin Charles of Sun/MySQL fame. I asked him if I could borrow some information from a blog posting he had done on the new online backup features that are being incorporated into MySQL Server 6.0 (beginning with 6.0.5). He graciously allowed me to do so and it was cool to be able to look down the road at what DBAs will be able to do one day soon with online backups being built in and not an “add-on”.
